Crib Rail Recall Information Put simply: while we are a company whose reputation is based on design, there is no higher priority for us than safety. We have voluntarily initiated a recall and replacement program for certain of our early crib rails. This is confined to about 400 examples of Loft and Moderne cribs that are over three years old and whose rail construction has since been improved. We felt that despite the short-term public relations disadvantages, this was the most effective way to reach affected customers quickly and offer them replacement rails. We also feel that this represents an opportunity to show what kind of company we are. This action was undertaken at our own initiative and based on only three incidents in which no one was injured.
